Thanks to Christophe Losberger we have some great pictures from last night’s Crawfish Blues Band concert!
2nd Vully Blues Festival
Two concerts to announce:
On October 1st we play at the Hotel-Restaurant Mont-Vully (Route du Mont 50, 1789 Lugnorre) for the third time. The concert starts at more or less 19h30 and their food so far has been quite nice. Two reasons to come!
Then on November 7th you can find us at the 2nd Vully Blues Festival that takes place in Praz, Fribourg. The fesitval starts at 19h00 pm, we play three 1 hour sets at 19h45 – 21h00 & 23h00
Funny how different concerts...
Funny how different concerts can have such different atmospheres…
11 day ago we played in Neuchâtel at the port, with the lake right behind us and the occasional boat blaring its horn. I got there early (17h00) hoping to have more time to get the sound adjusted. We though we were playing on a boat but the place turned out to be a small bar “shack” with a terrace and we had to wait until the tables were moved to give us room so it was past 18h30 by the time we were able to start installing our equipment… The usual rush…
Crawfish At The Bar... King
Welllll, it’s unfortunate that the sound is lousy in this video from our last concert…
A bout with a bit of self-congratulation!
Yesterday the vinyl banner I designed and ordered for the band came! I was worried about it because they are 44” × 30” (I stuck my 18 inch Zinc King washboard for scale) and didn’t know if the definitions of my image files was good enough to be blown up to that size. Happily they are since the banner really looks nice!
Even if it doesn’t make that much money, so far this whole store thing has been a positive experience. My writing and spelling skills have improved immensely…
Ragged 'n Dirty Too
Yesterday, while we were setting up, warming up, getting the balance right, that sort of thing, Dave started playing this “new” tune…
Saturday's Wine Drinking Blues
Saturday we (Crawfish) played what will probably be the only gig we’ve managed to get this fall, which is lame but what can you do when people’s availabilities aren’t what they would need to be to really get things going.
That said, it went ok and I believe that there where even some nice moments. However we are still pretty very uneven in my opinion, jumping from the best to the worst with a tip of the thumb…
