Mark Staff Brandl's PhD dissertation prelude coverFrom Februar 20 till March 21, 2009 the Galerie am Landsgemeindeplatz is exhibiting the artwork of Mark Staff Brandl.

Brandl is an internationally well-known artist with works in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, The Whitney Museum in New York, the St. Gallen Art Museum, The Thurgau Museum of Fine Art, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, the International Museum of Cartoon Art, the Art Museum Olten and others.

He is showing for the first time paintings and drawings which relate to and constitute a part of the first two chapters of his PhD dissertation now in progress on visual art and metaphor ..

Exhibition Opening Friday 20 February 2009 6 pm till circa 10 pm.

In this exhibition Mark has planed to place his
Collapsible Kunsthalle in the gallery’s window and has invited me to reinstall the miniature installation I had made for it.

Below is the video from the first installation, but I have planed a few changes so don’t hesitate to jam over to Trogen and check out the show!
