Last month I decided that I really needed to get into playing the kazoo but from what was on the web it seemed that these where a bit overpriced here in swissland, so I ordered two from Kazoobie Kazoos which came last week. In the meantime however it turned out that they were not nearly that overpriced so I picked one up at the local music store and have been playing with it ever since.
All that to point out that I now have three kazoos!
And that is how it came to be that when I opening their box yesterday morning,
The Grand Kazoo was staring at and daring me to argue it’s deity status. ;-)
A unique Kazoo t-shirt I hope you agree!
Actually Kazoo King was the first name that popped up for it, but the more we stared at each other the more obviously god like he(?)/it became. Walk warily among the gods is always good advice, but my status as a Zappa fan made it hard to ignore the insistent nudging incorporeally received from The Grand Wazoo, once it crossed my mind.
I’m also pleased because a while back I bough a few Canada Type Fonts, among which was Gumball.
Gumball is a bubble gum font. It’s round. It’s sickly sweet. It spreads like a viscous stain of blood or honey… is part of Canada Type’s blurb, the rest is also interesting; you can read it here: about Gumball.
So far this font had refused all propositions, it simply did not care to be seen with what I tried to associate it with, until now. Which makes sense, at least to me: if a Gumball Kazoo God didn’t exist, we’d need to invent it…
