PC Freeze With A Loop
3 June 2010, 12:23
I’ve been experiencing a extremely irritating computer issue this last week, my machine freezes and than tries to save itself but just ends up in a black screen loop of death. This has been happening randomly and I have yet to find a the culprit… and if I don’t soon, I may end up reinstalling the whole damned thing. Never a nice decision to make…

Still Freezing In Windows Land? To Soon To Say...
13 June 2010, 18:25
…And I saw soon enough…
My computer froze shortly after the last post and refused to start after that except in safe mode. Safe mode is that great place Windows has designed to drive you even more up the wall, since you can’t actually do a lot of the stuff you would want to like remove programs. But still you can amuse yourself and fiddle with settings, services and other things that start up automatically and eat at your processing power. I even got desperate enough to try restoring my machine to an earlier date, actually let the machine try and repair itself so to speak. It didn’t, which didn’t surprise me but on a positive side at least it didn’t kill itself; which is pretty much what I though it would do…

New Scuplture Portfolio
14 June 2010, 08:09
This machine actually booted up this morning! So far so good… :PA good time perhaps to mention that I’ve accepted to show some of my sculptures, bronze and other, in Zurich at the Annamarie Andersen Gallery towards the end of August and so I've made a new sculpture portfolio to put some of them back on my artist site…

Woops...

Once again I spoke too soon since later that day the machine froze… So it seemed better to reinstall instead of losing more time with the whole business and so I did, although in truth I am still doing. It seemed dumb to go through the process of reinstalling XP and so, since my relatively recent machine supported it, I decided to go for Windows 7.
I always hope that each Windows upgrade will be the last but that just wishful thinking…

Steve Tibbetts - Villanova Junction
20 June 2010, 13:52
I’ve been a fan of Steve Tibbetts since I randomly chose his album “Northern Song” in the 1/2 price on these unsellable LP’s bin in I don’t know which San Francisco record shop sometime in the mid eighties. I now own all his records which is probably somewhat due to the fact that he doesn’t make that many. In fact I had completely forgotten that I had signed up to receive news since the surprised notification that came this morning about his new record, Natural Causes, was the first I’ve ever received; it being his first album in 8 years!…
