I forgot to announce Crawfish’s last concert last week sorry, it was our second gig at the Hotel-Restaurant Mont-Vully and although Dave was stressed out on work with a headache to boot, it went well enough; at least it seemed so to me. Fortunately because for the first time ever we got a relatively decent recording of the whole concert!
For this reason I invite you to check out the band’s MySpace page: The Crawfish Blues Band since I just put six track up over there.
As is often his way, Dave launched Keep Your Hands Off Her without warning…

Didn’t find a video from T Model Ford’s concert at Bad Bonn last Monday so this one from a few days earlier in Brussels will have to do. In fact it’s probably better since it seems they had a better sound guy for that concert, on Monday Blaise and I where a bit peeved at how loud the drums where in relation to T Model’s guitar and voice. Too bad really because it’s not everyday that you get to see a 89 year old bluesman, especially around here…

Two Crawfish Blues Band concerts to announce:
On October 1st we play at the Hotel-Restaurant Mont-Vully (Route du Mont 50, 1789 Lugnorre) for the third time. The concert starts at more or less 19h30 and their food so far has been quite nice. Two reasons to come!
Than on November 7th you can find us at the 2nd Vully Blues Festival that takes place in Praz, Fribourg. The fesitval starts at 19h00 pm, we play three 1 hour sets at 19h45 – 21h00 & 23h00

Saturday saw Swissland’s first Zombie Walk and it just so happens that that one of the kids who initialized the idea here lives downstairs so it’s no surprise that a member of this family participated too.
G. since it was him, joined us for supper in his disguise, a healthy bluish green color with cuts made of silicone and strawberry jelly blood. Not much of a hint to recognize him among the near 150 participant walking dead who invaded the city…

Towards the end of August I had a chance meeting with the director of our city’s cultural center, the ABC. He asked me if I would illustrate one of this season’s monthly newsletter cover, which of course I agreed to, even if as he warned: their project was to have the participating artists react to a given theme which I would receive shortly after.
Which I did.
What is art and how to make it in today’s rampant commercialistic society?…
