Ukulele Mermaid shirt
Ukulele Mermaid by rattlebrained

A winking mermaid plays the ukulele with the funny saying: Sweet Ukulele. A sunny t-shirt design for uke players and everyone else who enjoys these small, yet fantastic, stringed musical instruments!

With summer’s taking a change towards the cold and wet it was nice to imaging a beach with palm trees, fancy umbrella coated cocktails with an attractive ukulele lady…

I (heart shaped guitar) The Blues

14 July 2010

I heart shaped guitar the blues

Don’t forget to join us (The Crawfish Blues Band) tonight down at Neuchâtel’s lakeside for a wild evening of old and new blues tunes! Hopefully we’ll get a few decent recordings of a song or two to replace the dusty and poorly recorded one we have on our band website. As far as promotion’s is concerned this band has a lot to learn… but anyway… what can you expect of a bunch of old geezers. Which got me thinking of just how male/macho the whole blues scene is….

A Grinning Teeth Tee

29 May 2010

Grinning Teeth shirt
Grinning Teeth by rattlebrained

Earlier this year a dental problem wiped out all hope of having some extra cash to dispose of for the summer, or whatever, so I guess teeth were on my mind when I started working on a new design a few weeks ago. In fact now I can’t even remember what the original design was supposed to be about. As it happens somewhere along it got sidetracked and turned into something completely different…

Bot Bones!

6 January 2010

Bot Bones Scott Miller, who is the guy behind one of my favorite stores on the web Bone Dry Music contacted me last fall about a new kind of rhythm bones he was developing and would I be interested in creating a logo? Would love too! was my answer of course as I began to work on his idea: a robot hand playing metal bones.
You can read the whole story of how Bot Bones came to be on the store’s Bot Bones information page; they are metal rhythm bones currently made from aluminum (with copper, brass and stainless steel still in the works).

I’ve had a pair of medium (1“x6 1/2”) aluminum Bot Bones for two weeks now and I really, really like them. As an intermediate bones player I’d place them among the “easier” bones to play…
